Amazon Prime Video has teamed with LeBron James to provide an alternate broadcast of Thursday Night Football for the November 17th broadcast between the Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers.
James, Maverick Carter, Paul Rivera, and other assembled guests will host an alternate stream called TNF in The Shop.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome The Shop to the Thursday Night Football family and work alongside UNINTERRUPTED to deliver a new viewing experience for fans of both the NFL and The Shop,” Amazon Prime Video Sports Head of Talent Amina Hussein said in a statement.
“Each week, Thursday Night Football brings together friends and family to watch and engage with the teams and players they love. With TNF in The Shop, we are honored to deepen that fan experience through organic, authentic conversation, and look forward to its premiere.”
The Lebron James alternate stream adds to an already robust set of alternate streams provided by Amazon Prime Video, including TNF with Dude Perfect, TNF with Storm & Kremer, and and a broadcast centered around Next Gen Stats.
In June, James was quoted as saying Tom Brady’s lucrative media deal with FOX Sports piqued the NBA star’s interest in a post-playing media career.
“When I saw how much Brady signed for, you’re god damn right I considered a career in media,” James said.
