The Sports Junkies: Is RG3 Serious About Washington Commanders Ownership?

Yesterday, ESPN football analyst Robert Griffin III said he’d like to become a minority owner of the Washington Commanders, after the franchise hired a bank to explore a potential sale. The Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan debated on whether Griffin III was serious or if it was a ploy to work his way back into the good graces of Washington fans.

The show played a video from RG3’s Twitter account where he claims he’s already secured $100 million in a possible minority ownership group.

“Is he doing a Stephen A. (Smith) bit?,” Eric Bickel asked.

“I tell ya what, that guy’s got a lot of energy,” said Jason Bishop.

“He literally sounds like Stephen A.,” Bickel said.

“We could potentially be owners with him because he says he’s bringing along 10 guys for the ride,” Bishop said. “We could potentially weasel our way in as 10 fans!”

“It’s a farce,” J.P. Flaim concluded.
