The Mighty 990 in Memphis announced Wednesday that Pamela Furr will join its staff as a freelance anchor. Furr has spent the last eight years at Supertalk 99.7 WTN in Nashville.

In addition to her work as a news anchor, Furr currently serves as the President of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame.

Furr has worked as a news anchor for Glenn Beck’s Blaze Radio Network, has freelanced for Fox News Radio, ABC News Radio, and Nancy Grace’s Crime Stories Podcast, and has been an assignment editor for News 4 (WSMV-TV) in Nashville.

Furr is an accomplished singer/songwriter and has been nominated for a GMA Dove award. Her vocals have been heard on several country albums.

Starnes said Furr’s hiring is part of the station’s “commitment to bring real journalism back to talk radio in Memphis.”
