The high-profile names exiting CNN continue as Puck News’ Dylan Byers reported on Thursday that anchor and correspondent Ana Cabrera is leaving the network.
Cabrera remains in cable news media as she heads over to NBC Universal and will likely join the MSNBC team. Additionally, Byers adds that CNN boss Chris Licht will be announcing new CNN dayside schedule in coming weeks.
Byers doesn’t state what role Cabrera will take at MSNBC, whether she will do both anchor or correspondent roles or perhaps both. Furthermore, she has yet to announce her exit, but that may be coming soon.
Although her exit isn’t part of the layoffs that Licht announced, names like Brian Stelter and John Harwood are some that have left CNN this year as the company has made significant changes.
CNN will continue to look different as Licht molds the network into his vision, which skews away from opinion-based content and sticks to the facts.
