Former radio host and podcaster Joe Walsh is going after Fox News’ Sean Hannity, who stated that Republicans should work within the existing system to elect their preferred candidates.
Democrats have overpowered Republicans in mail-in and early voting over the last couple of election cycles, which has Hannity telling his audience that they must embrace the voting system.
“It’s time now for Republicans to start paying a little bit of attention and embracing the voting system that we have and not the one that they wish that they had,” Hannity said (h/t Mediaite). “They need to accept the rules as they are, not as they want them to be.”
However, these remarks led to Walsh attacking the Fox News host, stating that Hannity is saying these comments because it’s what his “audience wants to hear.”
“Remember, @seanhannity only says what he thinks his audience wants to hear,” Walsh said on Twitter Wednesday.
“He just spent 15 minutes explaining why Republicans lost these midterms. He & his guests blamed everything under the sun except for Trump for what went wrong. The word “Trump” was never said. Not once.”
