Mike Greenberg has been absent from Get Up and his ESPN Radio show since Wednesday, and explained that he has suffered “a little setback” as the reason.
The longtime ESPN personality tweeted that he would miss the rest of the week from his duties and thanked those “carrying the ball” for him while he was out.

Greenberg did not specify what ailment he suffered a setback from, but said he hoped to “get back as fast” as he could.
ESPN Radio afternoon duo Chris Canty and Chris Carlin filled in for Greenberg on Greeny, while on Get Up, Dan Graziano filled in on Wednesday and Brian Custer handled the hosting duties on Thursday and Friday.

I started watching Mike & Mike in the mornings, you guys were the tops. I learned & laughed a lot from you two. But as I watched more of your shows through the years, I realized Greeny you were the reason for the success on your show! You seemed to showed more knowledge regarding sports, you knew how to get control of your show, after a comic segment between you and Golic. And more now on your show “Getup” you have control, your professional talent allows you to real out the questions to your panel then gain control. Not everyone can do that, such as First Take, it’s about who ever can scream the loudest. & some are very rude to each other. NO CONTROL, Greeny…! Get well & speedy recovery to you, I think very highly of your show but realize it’s you that makes the show a success with the talent you have daily on your show! God Bless.
