Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk weighed in on the life-threatening injury a Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin sustained by possibly hinting the situation is due to a vaccine. Media outlets later reported that Hamlin went into cardiac arrest after the freakish accident.
“This is a tragic and all too familiar sight right now: Athletes dropping suddenly,” Kirk tweeted Monday.
Afterward, Kirk’s tweet generated many reactions, including from former radio host and podcaster Joe Walsh. The ex-politician stated that the political commentator has sold his soul despite him serving as his mentor.
“I was a mentor to @charliekirk11,” Walsh said on Twitter Tuesday. “I helped him get @TPUSA off the ground. And I was there when he sold his soul. I was there when he first chose this dark, ugly road he’s on now. Nothing he says or does now surprises me. Nothing.”
Kirk isn’t the only fellow radio host that Walsh has gone after this week, as he also had harsh criticism for news/talk host Dennis Prager.
“.@GeorgeTakei, here’s what’s wrong with these people: @DennisPrager
& I used to be conservative talk radio colleagues,” Walsh said. “He’s still on the radio [because] he sold out to give his audience what they wanted – cruelty, dishonesty, fear, & ignorance. I didn’t & am no longer on the radio.”
