Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro reiterated Wednesday that his company spent millions of dollars suing the federal government to avoid having to force employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
“We were the only major media company in the United States that sued the federal government to protect our employees and you,” said Shapiro during his podcast Wednesday.
Two weeks ago, the Supreme Court issued a ruling that blocked the Biden administration’s vaccine-or-test mandate for companies with 100 employees or more.
“We are the only major media company,” Shapiro stated. “It was not Fox News, it was not Newsmax, it was not any of these other places. All those places tried to get their employees to vaccinate. We did not do that here at the Daily Wire. Instead, we spent millions of dollars suing the federal government and we risked millions of dollars in fines saying that we would not comply.”
Shapiro turned his attention to the mainstream media whom he said lied to the American people about the politics of COVID.
“Our media is sheer garbage, they are garbage on literally every issue, we are running out of issues for them not to be garbage on,” said Shapiro.
