Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre is taking Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe to court over what they’ve said about his dealings with Mississippi state officials.
Favre lobbied state officials for money to build a volleyball arena and make other athletics-related improvements at the University of Southern Mississippi. He has denied that he knew the money he was lobbying for was meant for welfare programs in the state.
According to Ryan Glasspiegel of The New York Post, in addition to McAfee and Sharpe, Brett Favre is also suing Mississippi state auditor Shad White for defamation.
Glasspiegel tweeted that if the lawsuit advances, this would be a chance to finally shed some light on the situation in court.
Brett Favre had his weekly radio hits in Milwaukee and on SiriusXM canceled after news of his alleged involvement in the scandal started making headlines last year.
