The Philadelphia Eagles lost Super Bowl LVII in excruciating fashion Sunday, which was a welcomed sight to some observers. 680 The Fan’s Matt Chernoff used the Philadelphia loss to poke fun at his old colleague John Kincade.
During Chuck and Chernoff, the 680 The Fan host joked that while he and Kincade are friends, he has had to host several shows after losing a championship game.
“We had the task of tuning into loser — I mean, Philadelphia — radio this morning,” Chernoff said. “I consider John (Kincade) a friend, but he’s well-versed in these ‘day after shows’. He did them here a lot. Now he’s seemingly taken them to Philadelphia.”
In 2020, Kincade departed 680 The Fan after a 20-year run as a COVID-19 budget cut, and then subsequently joined 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia to host its morning show.
“You hurt his feelings on Twitter,” co-host Chuck Oliver said.
“Oh, he was triggered,” Chernoff admitted. “I love to mess with him. He’s so easy. It’s so easy to draw him offsides.”
The pair have traded barbs on Twitter over the past two days about the exploits for Atlanta and Philadelphia sports teams.
