Brandon Gaudin Named New Television Voice of the Atlanta Braves

After the departure of longtime television voice Chip Caray, the Atlanta Braves needed a strong replacement. They found one in Brandon Gaudin.

Gaudin has been hired as the new television play-by-play announcer for the franchise’s telecasts on Bally Sports South and Bally Sports Southeast. He has served as a play-by-play broadcaster for FOX Sports and the Big Ten Network for the past seven seasons, primarily calling college football and basketball games for the networks. He has also called select MLB and NFL games for FOX Sports.

“Today is the realization of a childhood dream,” said Gaudin. “I get to be behind the mic for the team I grew up idolizing. And the team who fostered my love for both sports and broadcasting. I’m grateful to both the Braves and Bally Sports for this incredible opportunity. I cannot wait to work alongside this team and talented broadcast crew.”

Gaudin will be a familiar voice to Atlanta fans. He was the radio play-by-play voice of Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football, men’s basketball, and baseball games for four years before moving on to network television.

“We welcome Brandon into the Braves family as well as our broadcast booth,” said Atlanta Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller. “The Braves have had a legendary lineup of broadcasters throughout our history and we are excited to find someone who is familiar with our past from growing up a Braves fan and respecting those who came before him.”

The 39-year-old Gaudin has also served as the play-by-play voice of the Madden NFL video game franchise from EA Sports for the six iterations of the game.

“Brandon is the perfect fit for what we were looking for as the new voice of the Atlanta Braves on Bally Sports,” said Bally Sports South and Bally Sports Southeast Senior Vice President and General Manager Jeff Genthner. “His proven qualifications as a national broadcaster, coupled with his passion for the Atlanta Braves and city of Atlanta make him an excellent fit for our broadcast team. We are excited to welcome him to Bally Sports.”

Gaudin will continue his role with FOX Sports and BTN after joining the Atlanta Braves, and detailed in a Twitter thread how meaningful this opportunity is to him.
