Clay Travis, the founder of Outkick, has penned a book aimed at helping Republicans secure electoral victories. Titled American Playbook: A Guide to Winning the Country Back from the Democrats, the book is scheduled for release in August. Travis shared that his motivation for writing the book was the outcome of the 2020 elections.
Travis stated that he plans to use sports metaphors to illustrate his points.
“I think many of you out there are sitting around thinking to yourself, how in the world did we end up in a place where men are becoming women’s champions? And if you even dare to mention it, it’s considered transphobic by the left,” he said in a podcast.
Travis’ upcoming book will be published by Simon & Schuster, a company that has faced criticism from conservatives such as Senator Josh Hawley and Fox News personality Tucker Carlson. In fact, in the opening pages of his book “The Long Slide: Thirty Years in American Journalism,” Carlson referred to the company as a “cartoonish corporate censor.”
“Whether it’s advice on how to exploit the weakest link on the opposing team or how to capitalize on fast break opportunities in the press, Travis provides a surefire gameplan inspired by winning strategies in sports that will finally give conservatives an edge over the competition,” the publisher wrote.
“This is something that is, I think, Buck, and it’s in my new book, which is going to be out August 8th. I think this is an 80/20 issue,” Travis added.
