You have to give the NFL credit. They have turned reading out a calendar into a television event and the teams have used their creativity to take over social media with their schedule releases. No team was more talked about this week than the Tennessee Titans.
The team’s social media staff hit Broadway, the tourist-populated strip of bars, shops and restaurants in downtown Nashville. They asked tourists to identify the Titans’ 2023 opponents based solely on their logos and highlighted the funniest incorrect responses.
Fans praised the video and they certainly were not alone. Members of the sports media in Nashville and around the country chimed in to praise the creative presentation.
Local sports radio hosts appreciated a tip of the hat to Nashvillians, many of whom dismiss Broadway as a tourist trap.
With the video becoming a viral sensation, it became the centerpiece of many of the sports media world’s biggest stars’ timelines.
Even people with no connection to the Titans sung the video’s praises. Hosts from well beyond Central Tennessee shared the Titans’ schedule release with their followers.
Other perceived winners of the unofficial schedule release video contest included the Los Angeles Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears. However, the Titans drew the most and most widespread accolades.
