The Broadcasters Foundation of America has announced that Red Apple Media President Chad Lopez and Weiss Agency Executive Vice President Heather Cohen have been elected to its board of directors.
Lopez has more than 25 years of broadcast and digital media experience. 77 WABC has grown to the #1 overall station in several categories under his recent leadership. Before joining Red Apple Media, he was the Vice President of Cumulus Media’s New York stations.
Cohen represents many local and syndicated broadcast talents as the Executive Vice President of the Weiss Agency. In addition to her work with the Broadcasters Foundation of America, she also is on the board of directors for the Alliance for Women in Media, and has co-chaired the Gracie Awards since 2016.
“Chad and Heather are exceptional broadcast industry leaders, and they are a terrific addition to our Board of Directors,” said Scott Herman, Chairman of the Broadcasters Foundation. “I look forward to working with them to continue our mission of helping broadcasters in dire need.”
In more than 70 years of existence, the Broadcasters Foundation of America has donated millions of dollars to broadcasters that have lost their careers through unforeseen tragedies, medical problems, and other catastrophic events.
