Legendary sports radio host Norm Hitzges broadcasted his final show on Friday, ending a career that spanned five decades.
The Ticket in Dallas has been a big ratings winner for a while, and Norm had a lot to do with it.
As Hitzges signed off for the last time on Friday, and even throughout the day, many across the Metroplex and beyond offered their well-wishes and reflections on a sports radio icon.
Even Texas legislators recognized Norm for the impact he’s made in media. Hitzges will be honored with an official proclamation by the Texas legislature the next time it meets.
