Howie Carr: Tucker Carlson Did What He Did Best at TheBlaze Conference

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson continues to be lauded by some in conservative media circles for his performance at a Republican presidential campaign forum in Iowa by TheBlaze last week. Howie Carr made his feelings known.

In his Morning Minute Tuesday, the longtime Boston-based host gave Carlson props for his approach to prospective Republican nominees.

“Tucker spent his Friday in Iowa at the Family Leadership Conference forcing politicians into humiliating fits of mumbles. In other words, he’s back doing what he does best,” argued Carr. “Republican, Democrat, wherever, whomever. Doesn’t matter to Tucker. Inconsistency and hypocrisy will be exposed.”

Carr then played a series of clips of Carlson putting former Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), and former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) in precarious positions.

However, Carr did note that Carlson’s questions likely wouldn’t have much effect on their campaigns.

“If we’re being real, Tucker’s tough questions probably won’t hurt this group. None of them is polling above 5%,” he concluded.
