Jesse Watters ‘Humbled’ By New Fox News Timeslot

Jesse Watters debuted in his new 8:00 PM ET timeslot on Fox News last night and shared his appreciation for being moved into the window.

“Before we begin, I just want everybody to know how humbled I am about this opportunity. Humility is usually not a word you associate with Jesse Watters, but I’m truly honored,” Watters said at the beginning of Jesse Watters Primetime. “I’m following in the footsteps of two true professionals in this time slot, and I’ll continue the tradition of excellence.”

Watters alluded to the former 8:00 PM ET hosts — Bill O’Reilly and Tucker Carlson — to debut the episode. O’Reilly and Carlson had been the only two previous hosts in the timeslot since Fox News’s inception in 1996.

The new 8:00 PM ET host then mentioned that he will bring a slightly different perspective to the primetime slot than O’Reilly and Carlson.

“Nobody says the news has to be boring. We’re gonna represent, inform, and entertain,” claimed Watters. “Like I said before, the relationship I have with you is a love story. I love you. I respect you. And when you text or call me I listen to you everything we do. We do it for you.”
