Last week, Glenn Beck claimed that an employee program at Fox News would match donations to certain charities. However, much to Beck’s chagrin, some of those charities included organizations like Planned Parenthood, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Satanic Temple.
On Tuesday, Beck gave an update on the situation during The Glenn Beck Program, saying that Fox News had ended matching to the Satanic Temple. But that didn’t deter the syndicated radio host from sharing his opinion on the downfall of the cable news outlet he once called home.
“By Sunday morning, the Satanic Temple was still in their Fox giving portal, but you can see it’s no longer eligible for donation matching,” Beck said as he showed a screenshot of the website where employees can choose which organizations to donate to those watching his video simulcast on TheBlaze TV. “We’ve reached back out to Fox to ask and we’ll keep you updated. If we hear anything back or see anything change. It is incredible how far Fox has fallen.”
Beck’s comments came after mentioning that he and his producers had done extensive research on the topic before taking it to the airwaves. He added he believed Fox News viewers, especially FOX Nation subscribers, deserved to know how their money was being spent.
“We showed you the evidence in the screenshots and then did our due diligence. We asked Fox why would they match donations to charities that hate Fox News and go against their audience values,” continued Beck. “Would it be would it really be a shame for you if they were using FOX Nation subscriber money to match donations to these charities?”
He then chided the outlet for failing to list Billy Graham’s Evangelistic Association as one of the organizations employees could support.
