Joe Rogan Isn’t Interested in Having Donald Trump on His Podcast

Joe Rogan’s reach and influence is well documented. With a reported eleven million listeners tuning into his podcast, who Rogan features, and puts his support can make a difference.

Knowing how beneficial that can be, it’s no surprise Donald Trump’s camp has continued to try and secure an appearance for the former president on on the show. A Trump adviser recently told The Daily Beast, “The mere discussion of Donald Trump on a blockbuster podcast like Joe Rogan builds a remarkable audience. Perhaps the only person bigger in the new media world than Joe Rogan is Donald Trump and the whole idea that the two of them would be together at long last—it would be an incredible audience.”

Despite efforts from Trump’s team, Rogan continues to take a pass. Trump is said to be a listener of Rogan’s program, and the two men recently exchanged pleasantries during the last UFC pay per view, UFC 290.’, Rogan has continued to take a pass. So what might be the obstacle preventing it from happen? That would be Joe Rogan himself.

In a recent conversation with Lex Fridman, Rogan admitted that he’s not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form. He added “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

The decision to reject talking with Trump, despite knowing how much interest it would produce, drew the attention of Outkick host Tomi Lahren. In a Fox commentary this week, Lahren said she found Rogan’s decision to be odd, adding “Why not allow your listeners to hear an honest, open, and transparent dialogue with a former President, and the current Republican frontrunner? Come on Joe, make it happen, for the people.”

Trump recently appeared on the Nelk Boys podcast Full Send, generating 8.5 million views of the episode of YouTube. It’s safe to say, a conversation between Rogan and Trump would produce significantly higher traffic.
