During coverage of the latest indictment against former President Donald Trump, ABC News showed portions of a speech he made before the January 6th Insurrection. 710 WOR host Mark Simone believes the network purposely altered Trump’s words to make him look worse.
“They actually doctored video of Trump and I don’t know why they’re not being indicted and arrested for this. I keep telling you how corrupt ABC News is. Remember the speech before January 6th? Where Trump was saying ‘We’re gonna march down to the Capitol’? Well, if you are a Democrat, you’re watching ABC News. It looked terrible, this Trump speech. You watch him say ‘I want you to march down the Capitol, I want you to fight, I want you to really fight’. Well, it sounds like he was inciting violence. Only this never happened,” said Simone.
“They doctored the tape, doctored the video. They took one line from somewhere in the beginning, another line from the middle, and another line from the end. He never said all of that stuff, as it looks like he said. They of course cut out the part where he says ‘I want you to march down to the Capitol, and peacefully and patriotically protest’. They literally cut that out. They deliberately doctored it.”
Mark Simone went on to argue that there’s no plausible explanation other than sinister reasoning.
“This was no accident. Why would you get a couple of words from the beginning, a couple of words from six minutes later, and a couple of words from 10 minutes later? ABC News deliberately doctored the tape. Now there are a lot of other news organizations demanding an explanation from ABC, which they have refused to give. They will not explain why they did this to anybody, but it’s total corruption.”
