While a permanent replacement for Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed hasn’t been formally announced, host Skip Bayless did have some news this week about a new face fans will soon see on the show.
On his Skip Bayless Show podcast this week, the FS1 star announced that rapper Lil’ Wayne would be a featured debater for one segment on Fridays.
“He might not always be in the studio depending on his schedule, but he will join me every Friday for a segment,” Bayless said. “I don’t know, 12, 15 minutes. If he’s hot, if he’s rolling, maybe we’ll keep him a couple segments if he has the time. That, you can look forward to.”
Wayne is a big sports fan and has appeared on the show previously. He and Skip Bayless also happen to be close friends. Skip said his presence will be a different change of pace viewers are accustomed to.
“He is so deep when it comes to sports,” Bayless said. “He doesn’t yell or scream, but he does get emotional, and you hang on his every word because trust me, he has thought through every single word. I like to say I see things and say things that others don’t, Wayne is my match.”
Undisputed will return to FS1 on August 28.
