ESPN 97.5 afternoon co-host Brad Kellner has announced he will depart The Wheelhouse.
Kellner recently announced a digital outlet Texas Sports Unfiltered alongside former 104.9 The Horn hosts Bucky Godbolt and Trey Elling. Other content will be produced by Adam “Wags” Wagner and Kevin Dunn. At Texas Sports Unfiltered, Kellner is hosting a program from 8:00-10:00 AM with Godbolt and a show from 12:00-1:00 PM with Elling.
“I owe so much to everyone at ESPN Houston and Gow Media for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime,” Kellner wrote in a tweet announcing his departure.
“These last two years have been incredibly special and I will always be thankful to everyone who allowed them to happen.”
Kellner shared that he is going to spend his time “focusing all my attention on Texas Sports Unfiltered” after he departs the Houston station.
He joined ESPN 97.5 in 2021 after spending nearly five years at 104.9 The Horn in Austin. In addition to his time at 104.9 The Horn, Brad Kellner also worked as a producer and fill-in host at 1300 The Zone, also in Austin.
He becomes the second member of the show to exit, after co-host Cody Stoots departed the station last month to create digital outlet Houston Football.
