As Week Zero approaches, ESPN has named its 2023 college football broadcast booths, with some promotions and new faces dotting its growing roster.
Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Holly Rowe will continue to handle ABC’s Saturday Night Football as the network’s top broadcast booth. The 2023 season will be the 10th consecutive year that Fowler and Herbstreit have worked the package together.
Former Alabama quarterback and current JOX 94.5 morning host Greg McElroy has been elevated to the network’s second booth to join Sean McDonough and Molly McGrath for ESPN’s Saturday Night Primetime. McElroy steps into the seat vacated when Todd Blackledge departed ESPN to join NBC for its new coverage of the Big Ten.
Longtime ESPN/ABC college football studio analyst Jesse Palmer is returning to the booth to sit alongside Joe Tessitore and Katie George. Palmer is in his 16th season with the network.
ESPN has also paired Bob Wischusen with Robert Griffin III, Dave Pasch with Dusty Dvoracek, Mark Jones with Louis Riddick, and Dave Flemming with Brock Osweiler.
Several new analysts have been added to the network’s expansive college football rosters. Former Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason and former Miami offensive lineman and current 104.3 The Fan in Denver host Orlando Franklin will both work games on the SEC and ACC Networks, respectively. Reporter Sherree Burruss will also join as a sideline reporter for ACC Network games alongside Chris Cotter and Mark Herzlich. She will also continue in her role at NFL Network.
