After teasing he would be back before football season, it has been reported that Shannon Sharpe will indeed be joining the rotation of debaters on ESPN’s First Take.
The New York Post reported Thursday that Sharpe will sit opposite Stephen A. Smith on Mondays and Tuesdays for the upcoming football season.
Sharpe left his role opposite Skip Bayless on FS1’s Undisputed earlier this summer. Shannon had been Skip’s debate partner for seven years.

Both Sharpe and Smith had been public with comments about a desire to work together since Shannon Sharpe left FOX.
Neither ESPN nor Sharpe commented on the New York Post reporting.
