Garth Brooks Expected to Announce Sports Radio Project with TuneIn

Is country music legend Garth Brooks planning to venture into sports talk?

Brooks is going to be announcing the new project on Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. The project will be part of his SEVENS Radio Network and be available through TuneIn.

The network launched this summer after the SiriusXM Garth Channel ended in 2022.

The first station under the SEVENS Network umbrella is the BIG 615, which is dedicated to country music. But indications are that the network will branch out with stations that go beyond just country.

So why is the announcement in Kansas City? It appears Brooks has a heart for the home of the Chiefs and Royals. He’s played sold-out shows at both Arrowhead and at T-Mobile Center and once took part in a fantasy camp at Royals spring training in 2004.

Reporting in the Kansas City Star indicates that a well-known national sports broadcaster, as well as representatives from the Chiefs, Current and Sporting Kansas City will be on hand for the announcement.
