Alex Smith jumped into the media virtually as soon as his playing days in the NFL ended. First it was TV. This year, he will add radio to his schedule.
The top pick of the 2005 NFL Draft is joining SiriusXM. He will be part of the NFL Radio lineup every Thursday. Smith will join Bruce Murray on The SiriusXM Blitz weekly.
Smith is just the latest quarterback to join the satellite radio lineup. He joins Rich Gannon, Jim Miller and Ryan Leaf on NFL Radio, Phil Simms, who is heard on both NFL Radio and Mad Dog Sports Radio, and Tom Brady, whose show Let’s Go, is hear on Mad Dog Sports Radio.

ESPN hired Alex Smith in 2021. He appeared on multiple shows on the network, including SportsCenter and Monday Night Countdown.
