There is a new cast of Inside the NFL. The CW tapped Ryan Clark to lead a panel that includes Channing Crowder, Chris Long, Jay Cutler and Chad Johnson. It seems like that what the network got may have been its plan b.
Andrew Marchand reports that the network had eyes on two FOX stars, but the network shutdown those inquiries.
Greg Olsen and Mark Ingram II were on the CW’s wishlist. With Olsen still serving as the lead NFL game analyst at the network and Ingram joining the cast of its college football pregame show Big Noon Kickoff, the network was not keen to let them split their time.
“Fox Sports executives’ point of view is they are paying their top guys a lot of money, so they don’t feel the need to share them,” Marchand writes.
Inside the NFL made its season debut last week. The show moved to The CW after spending the last three years on Paramount+.
