New Jersey 101.5 has planned a town hall event centered on public education policies regarding transgender students.
On Thursday, September 21st at 7:00 PM, the station will present “School Fight: Trans Kids, Parents, and Policy” which will focus on gender identification policies in the state’s public school system.
New Jersey 101.5’s Eric Scott will lead the discussion.
“There has been a tremendous amount of misinformation and fear-mongering regarding gender identity issues in our schools,” Scott says. “This program will help New Jersey residents understand what the state’s guidance says, but also explore the real-world implications for parents, districts, and trans students.”
The on-air panel for the special program will feature a local Board of Education Vice President, a school’s attorney, New Jersey State Senator Declan O’Scanlon (R), a parent of a transgender student, and Gradent State Equality Deputy Director Brielle Winslow-Majette.
Listeners will be invited to call in and ask specific questions of the assembled group.
