Last week, 77 WABC host Sid Rosenberg revealed he is in an ongoing feud with syndicated radio host Mark Levin over a decision the station made months ago that affected Levin’s show for one hour. Rosenberg responded to Levin’s legion of fans to begin his show Monday morning.
Sid Rosenberg questioned how Levin got so many fans and followers to begin Sid and Friends in the Morning Monday.
“You get these real tough conservatives and they go on and on about ‘Levin is smarter than you’. Okay, great. He’s smarter than me. So what doesn’t make you a better radio host? I’ve worked with guys who were smarter than me. They weren’t better radio hosts,” Rosenberg said. “He’s smarter. So what? Great. Fantastic. So they go on (social media) and say ‘You’re on the same team!’ Yeah. But the same people have no problem when Donald Trump eviscerates Ron DeSantis. They’re on the same team now.
“What it comes down to is, it’s nonsense. Some of you pray to the altar of some of these conservative guys. It’s embarrassing. Whether it’s Mark Levin, or Sean Hannity, or — I don’t even know who these guys are anymore. I mean, Rush (Limbaugh), I kind of understood but he’s dead. I don’t believe anybody out there really deserves the reverence.”
Rosenberg’s comments came after he said Levin should be known as “The Average One” instead of his current “The Great One” moniker, sharing that he viewed the longtime host as “about as exciting as a fart in a windstorm”, calling Levin “some old bald guy who spouts conservative views”.
The 77 WABC host later changed his tune and gave Levin his due.
“He’s fine. Levin’s good. You’ve got Fox News show, he’s on the station, writes books, he’s probably one of the best, though. He is actually. He’s absolutely one of the best but does he deserve the love and reverence some of these people give him?”
Sid Rosenberg concluded the segment by taking at shot at Levin’s ratings on the Red Apple Media station.
“His ratings aren’t all that good. In fact, they suck. I double Mark Levin’s ratings all the time. So if I want to bitch slap Mark Levin, I can do it. I don’t care how smart you think he is. When he gets my ratings, he can talk. I don’t care how many TV shows he does, how many millions he makes, or kicks my ass in every one of those categories. But the only category that WABC cares about is the ratings here Levin is relatively paltry and I’m the king. So when you unprovoked go on a national show and call me a weasel, but I did nothing wrong. I’m not going to back down because some of you idiots out there love Mark Levin.”
