Noah Eagle Joining Brooklyn Nets TV Broadcasts on YES Network

Once his responsibilities on B1G Saturday Night conclude for the season with NBC Sports, Noah Eagle will be returning to the National Basketball Association, albeit on the other side of the country. The 25-year-old play-by-play broadcaster will join Brooklyn Nets broadcasts for approximately 10 games throughout the 2023-24 regular season, coinciding with the 30th year his father, Ian, will serve as the primary play-by-play announcer.

Eagle spent the last four seasons calling LA Clippers games on AM 570 LA Sports (KLAC) and NBA Summer League action for Warner Bros. Discovery Sports. Additionally, he was featured on college basketball and football broadcasts for FOX Sports and has called NFL action for the last three years on an annual alternate broadcast with CBS Sports and Nickelodeon. The Syracuse University graduate had deft experience as a broadcaster for the Orange and served as sports director of WAER, the student-run radio station.

Most of Noah Eagle’s games will come during the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament since his father will be serving as the new lead voice of CBS Sports’ Final Four coverage. Ian’s backup, YES Network and NBA/WNBA ESPN broadcaster Ryan Ruocco, is the primary play-by-play announcer on the NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament within its Final Four. According to a report by Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, the idea emanated from Jared Boshnack, YES Network vice president of production.

“Almost that time of year again,” Noah Eagle said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Very excited for this. Where Brooklyn at?”

Eagle will make his on-air debut on Saturday, Dec. 2 when the Brooklyn Nets host the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The team looks to qualify for the NBA Playoffs for a third consecutive season after trading away guard Kyrie Irving and forward Kevin Durant last year.
