Jason Kelce Confirms Rumors of Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Romance on 94WIP

Over the last week, rumors pertaining to Kansas City Chiefs tight end and two-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce dating award-winning pop superstar Taylor Swift have heightened. On last week’s broadcast of Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video, TNF Tonight analyst Tony Gonzalez asked Kelce’s brother Jason, who happens to play center for the Philadelphia Eagles, whether or not the reports were true.

Kelce, taken aback by the question, said that he could not comment and moved on from the situation. After Travis caught his first touchdown pass of the year from Patrick Mahomes this past Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Ian Eagle, play-by-play voice for The NFL on CBS, described the route as creating a “blank space” in the end zone, implicitly referencing one of Swift’s hit singles.

Appearing on SportsRadio 94WIP for an interview on Wednesday morning, the conversation turned from football to a statement that Joe DeCamara made last week on the program. DeCamara, however, was misquoted by his co-host Jon Ritchie, resulting in a prompt correction on the air.

“What I said, and this is going to get even weirder here, what I said is that I believe Travis Kelce is a better-looking human than Taylor Swift,” DeCamara explained. “That’s what I said.”

Ritchie erroneously stated that DeCamara spoke about Kelce being more attractive than movie star Brad Pitt, a mixup that occurred because the discourse last week turned to who the show thought were best-looking among celebrities. Jason Kelce then proceeded to ask where he ranks on that list, to which DeCamara replied, “You are the second best-looking brother in the family.” The Eagles center took it as a compliment, humbled just to be behind just his brother and Pitt on the overall list.

Before the conversation shifted back to football, Kelce was asked about how his brother and Swift are doing after it was reported that the duo is “quietly hanging out” by The Messenger. The NFC champion decided to answer the question, even with an understanding that everything he is saying about this situation is being quoted by numerous media outlets.

“It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about what’s happening in Travis’ love life, [and] I try to keep his business kind of his business and stay out of that world,” Kelce explained, “but having said that, man, I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100% true.”

With Kelce seemingly confirming that the rumors are accurate, SportsRadio 94WIP shared the clip on its social media channels with a caption reading, “Did we just break pop culture news?” It remains to be seen how those involved will react to the acknowledgement of what has rapidly become a talking point among football and music devotees in a resolution to which many people are searching for a definitive answer.
