Three months after making her exit from Barstool Sports, Kelly “Kelly in Vegas” Stewart has been hired by OutKick to host a new betting show debuting today.
OutKick founder Clay Travis made the announcement on Twitter/X on Wednesday afternoon.
Kelly quoted Clay’s tweet and essentially said it’s been a longtime coming.
Stewart left Barstool in June after around two years at the media outlet. She got picked up by Dave Portnoy and co. in 2021 after she was fired by ESPN a month into her contract.
Originally brought on to be an analyst on Daily Wager and to focus on betting content, ESPN let Kelly go after tweets surfaced from the early 2010s of Stewart using homophobic language.
“I know the words I used were unacceptable and hurtful and I am terribly sorry for this lapse in judgment, but I cannot apologize for standing up to the vicious attacks I, and so many other female personalities, endure from online trolls,” Kelly wrote at the time after announcing she had been let go at ESPN.
OutKick came to the defense of Kelly at that time, blaming cancel culture and emphasizing how absurd it was that people would dig into tweets that are over a decade old to get someone fired.
Stewart is the owner of WagerTalk and hosts a number of betting podcasts, including Kelly & Murray, which she co-hosts with John Murray.
