107.5 The Fan reshaped its daily lineup during the summer ratings period, but didn’t miss a beat. Indy’s leading sports brand remained one of the top stations in the market in the coveted Men 25-54 demographic.
The station’s new morning show of Kevin Bowen and Andy Sweeney debuted during the ratings period, starting in late August. Previously, Bowen was paired with Jake Query, who moved to middays to helm the new Query and Company from 12-3 PM after the timeslot was vacated by Dan Dakich in December.
Despite the shuffling, morning drive saw a big gain for the station compared to the same ratings period a year ago. The Fan finished 2nd in the daypart with a 10.7 share, up from a 5th place tie last year when it registered a 6.7 share. Mornings was the leading daypart for the station during the summer book.
The Ride with JMV remained a strong player for the quarter. The Fan’s afternoon show was up from an already impressive 7.6 share last year to a 9.3 share this year. That moved the program from 3rd to 1st.
Mike Greenberg’s nationally syndicated ESPN Radio show airs on the station from 10a-12p. The show dropped this quarter to a 3.5, down from a 4.0 share last year. That placed the show 12th overall during its time slot.
In the 12p-3p window, Query’s program started in late August so a combination of fill-in shows contributed to the brand’s quarterly performance. The good news, the station saw a minimal year-over-year decrease, slightly falling from a 6.3 to 6.1. That’s a big win considering that Dan Dakich was installed as the host in 2022.
107.5 The Fan also gained ground in weekday prime (M-F 6a-7p), jumping to a 7.5 share from a 6.6 during the same ratings period last year. That 7.5 was good for 3rd place this book. Finally, in total week (M-SU 6a-Mid), the station was up slightly, moving from a 5.8 share in 2022 to a 6.2 share during this ratings book, tying it for 4th place.
