Jason Kelce Joining ‘Thursday Night Football’ as Guest Analyst

With the Philadelphia Eagles in the midst of their bye week following an 8-1 start to the National Football League regular season, star center Jason Kelce will be joining the Thursday Night Football broadcast booth on Amazon Prime Video as a guest analyst. Kelce, who also hosts the New Heights podcast with Wave Sports + Entertainment alongside his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, will be featured in the booth with play-by-play announcer Al Michaels and color commentator Kirk Herbstreit throughout the contest between the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers.

Before the live game broadcast, he will be on the TNF Tonight pregame show hosted by Charissa Thompson, and he will remain on the air for TNF Nightcap following the action. Kelce will also participate in a sit-down interview with feature reporter Taylor Rooks prior to the game.

Earlier in the season, Kelce made a viral moment when he was asked by analyst and former NFL tight end Tony Gonzalez about the veracity of rumors that his brother, Travis, was in a relationship with singer and songwriter Taylor Swift. He is now set to join the broadcast in the midst of his 13th season in the NFL and after deciding to return to the league rather than retiring.

“Amazon bought the Kelce documentary, and we were talking when that whole thing was going down about maybe getting out during the bye week to the Thursday night game,” Kelce said on Wednesday’s edition of the New Heights podcast regarding his guest appearance. “I’m going to have a lot of fun with all those guys, man…. It’s going to be a good time. I can’t wait.”

Coverage of Thursday Night Football begins with TNF Tonight at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST streaming on Prime Video. The game broadcast with Michaels and Herbstreit in the booth, along with sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung on the field, begins ahead of the scheduled 8:15 p.m. EST/5:15 p.m. PST kickoff from Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill.
