CNN Audio announced on Tuesday that anchor Anderson Cooper will continue his podcast, All There Is with Anderson Cooper, featuring intimate and personal discussions about grief. The second season will premiere on Wednesday, November 29.
In 2022, the CNN host started the podcast while he was emptying his mother Gloria Vanderbilt’s apartment after her death. He stumbled upon a surprising discovery as he went through boxes of her belongings, along with those of his late father and brother. This discovery motivated him to begin a new series of conversations.
“The last few months have been a revelation to me in terms of my understanding of grief and loss and the need to reach out to and learn from others who are living with it,” said Cooper.
“We don’t talk enough about grief. I certainly haven’t. Maybe we don’t know what to say, or it’s painful, or we’ve buried it so deeply we can’t even allow ourselves to feel it. Whatever the reason, I hope these conversations are helpful to people. They have been for me, and I am grateful.”
Season 2 of All There Is with Anderson Cooper follows Cooper’s journey to comprehend the complicated nature of grief and to learn from those who have faced life-changing losses through genuine and emotional conversations. The show focuses on those that we have lost, those that remain, and how we can continue living with love and loss.
This season, the show welcomes special guests like President Joe Biden, The New Yorker’s Amanda Petrusich, and best-selling author Nicole Chung. All There Is with Anderson Cooper will release new episodes on Wednesdays and can be accessed on all major podcast platforms.
