MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough issued a doomsday reality should former president Donald Trump get re-elected in 2024. The host of Morning Joe focused on the vengeful motivators driving Trump and why his politics can be likened to fascism. Radio hosts Tony Katz and Grace Curley wondered if Scarborough was mentally ok.
Scarborough wound up taking the conversation up a notch by saying the media cannot treat Trump like a typical political candidate because “[Trump] is running to end American democracy as we know it.”
“He will imprison, he will execute whoever he is allowed to imprison, execute, drive from the country.” Scarborough said. “Just look at his past! It’s not really hard to read. Again, the only thing that stood between him and the destruction of American democracy was the federal judiciary.”
Nonetheless, radio hosts Tony Katz and Grace Curley weren’t buying the doomsday alarm that Scarborough set off on his MSNBC morning show and provided their reaction to the segment.
“At this stage, it’s acceptable to debate if @joenbc is more cognitively compromised than (Joe Biden),” Katz wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Meanwhile, Curley wrote on the same platform: “I always go to Joe Scarborough when I want to know how to be ‘fair’ LOL.”
