Late last month, former cable news host Bill O’Reilly hosted a live theater show with 77WABC host Sid Rosenberg. He says he didn’t know if things were going well until seeing the reaction after the event.
During an appearance with 710 WOR host Mark Simone Tuesday, O’Reilly admitted he has a penchant for not thinking about how the product is appearing to the audience while doing any live show — whether it be in person on the radio.
“They tell me it was pretty good,” O’Reilly told Simone. “I mean, I never know — I don’t know about you, but I never know when I’m doing a live thing, because you do live radio every day, whether it’s good or bad until after.
You know, you’re doing your best,” continued O’Reilly. “And I’m up there, I’m thinking about what I’m doing. I’m not thinking about the reaction to it. But they tell me that the set that I did was — being in comedian parlance, I killed.”
Bill O’Reilly is including video of his event with Rosenberg as part of an anthology collection of his bestselling non-fiction book series as Christmas gifts this year. He told Simone wide marketing of the program wouldn’t be fair to those who purchased a ticket to see the event live.
