Salem Radio Network Charlie Kirk has had a volatile relationship with Fox News since the network removed Tucker Carlson from its primetime lineup. However, he hopes that the relationship can eventually be mended.
A report from The Daily Beast claims Fox News executives have barred the network’s talent from appearing with TurningPoint USA — the organization founded by Kirk — at any of its events.
“Fox’s relationship with Turning Point is basically over,” an anonymous source told The Daily Beast. “They don’t want their talent associated with them anymore.”
Kirk has been a vocal critic of Fox News since Carlson’s firing. He argued that the “media landscape was forever changed” by Carlson’s departure, and later caused a stir over a Fox News producer having their pronouns in their email signature.
Despite his criticisms, Charlie Kirk told Breitbart he hopes to someday mend the fences with the cable news giant.
“I love Fox (News). They’ve been very good to me. I hope we can heal our relationship because — for whatever reason — it’s gone off the reservation. Since Tucker (Carlson’s exit), I haven’t been on,” revealed Kirk.
“And so, we had to do an event without Fox. And that was a great thing, man, because sometimes desperation is the mother of innovation, right? We kind of grew accustomed to — Jesse Watters — love him — and Greg Gutfeld — love him — but that wasn’t a thing. We couldn’t do it. They’re not allowed to be here.”
