Keith Olbermann has never been a fan of TurningPoint USA founder Charlie Kirk. That’s noticeably clear after his recent comments on the syndicated radio host.
Kirk was one of many conservative pundits to denounce an apparent attempt by the State of New York to require Chick-fil-A restaurants to be open seven days per week.
“Liberals hate Christianity so much they want to make it illegal for Chik-fil-A to be closed on Sundays to provide employees a day of rest,” Kirk posted to X earlier this week.
However, the state only made the requirement as part of a deal for the restaurants to be placed at rest areas along the New York State Thruway, with exclusive licenses to serve travelers, and not a blanket requirement throughout the state.
During his Countdown podcast, Olbermann pointed out that it likely wasn’t a coincidence that Kirk left out important details, in his eyes. He began his argument by stating Kirk is Exhibit A that “stupidity and poor reading comprehension can be extremely profitable”.
“I left out paranoia, stupidity and poor reading comprehension, and paranoia (sic),” Olbermann said. “Turns out the story Kirk has warped into some kind of Democrats versus Jesus thing. It’s a little different than he posits.”
