Chris Cuomo is one of the many news media personalities with a podcast and recently sounded off, stating that podcast listeners don’t care about quality.
During a reaction episode for The Chris Cuomo Project, the NewsNation host responded to comments, with one of them including a remark over a microphone issue during Cuomo’s interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“You really feel like, even if you come up with something as inconsequential and meaningless, especially in a media environment where you guys don’t give a rat’s heiny about quality, you watch YouTube and videos that suck where the quality is terrible and the editing is terrible and gimmicky like the 80s,” Cuomo said.
Furthermore, Chris Cuomo highlighted that popular podcasts such as The Joe Rogan Experience don’t have the best quality yet remain at the top of the industry.
“I’ve been doing this a long time, and you know what I’ve learned is this: all the attention to detail and the perfection and the lighting and the sound and the do it over because there’s a dog three blocks over, you guys don’t give a damn, and now you’ve proven it,” Cuomo added.
“Because all the things that are popular for you are so poorly produced. The biggest podcast, okay, you’ve got Rogan with cans [for headphones], 1960s technology [and] sitting in a room that’s just soundproof, that big table with guys that you only see a fraction of the time, and that’s the biggest podcast.”
