After more than 30 years in the radio business, Tom Parkinson has retired from Kansas Public Radio.
Parkinson had most recently served as the host of Morning Edition on Kansas Public Radio. He had been with KPR for more than 10 years before announcing his exit.
“It’s been such an honor to spend this last decade with the amazing team of professionals at KPR,” Parkinson said on the KPR website, per Inside Radio. “Thank you all very much. And, as always, sincerest gratitude to the wonderful public radio listeners in Northeast Kansas. You really do make it all possible.”
He called hosting the local morning show the greatest love of his journey in the medium.
Other stops in his radio career include roles in Ohio, Florida, and California.
