Jason Rantz: NBC News Embarrassed Itself With Vivek Ramaswamy Interview

NBC News reporter Dasha Burns recently sat down with 2024 Republican Presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy. As it often does with the Ohio businessman, the interview turned contentious, and 770 KTTH host Jason Rantz questioned why the outlet would promote the interaction on social media.

Ramaswamy’s point of contention was the line of questioning from Burns. After claiming he didn’t know who Dylan Roof was, Burns asked Ramaswamy about the 2015 mass shooting in South Carolina. Roof shared that his motive was to perpetuate a race war between white and Black citizens. Ramaswamy then argued that no one has definitively defined what “white supremacy” entails.

In response, Burns — who was heralded by conservative pundits in 2023 for her tough line of questioning toward Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) about whether or not he was unfit for office — pushed back on the response from Ramaswamy, arguing that the candidate frequently uses “strawman arguments” to prove his points.

Many in conservative media took issue with Burns’ conduct during the interview, arguing that rather than interview Ramaswamy, she was instead debating him.

Jason Rantz took to X to question why NBC News would want the video shown to the public, much less promoted as an “exclusive”.

“Why in the world would NBC News release this video? It shows their totally objected (sic) reporter trying to debate a candidate — not question him,” wrote Rantz.
