On Friday, CNN announced the appointment of new executive producers for two of its primetime shows: The Source with Kaitlan Collins and CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip.
The network’s Sunday political programs, State of the Union with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash and Inside Politics Sunday with Manu Raju, will also have new executive producers.
Kristin Donnelly, who played a crucial role in developing and launching The Source with Kaitlan Collins last July, has been appointed Executive Producer. She will continue to lead the team from the New York Bureau. Having joined CNN in 2017, Donnelly previously served as the executive producer for Inside Politics with John King.
Meanwhile, Eric Hall has been appointed Executive Producer for NewsNight with Abby Phillip. Alongside his role with Phillip, Hall also fulfills the position of executive producer for various breaking news specials and special events across the network.
Kirk McDonald has been appointed as the executive producer for Washington programming and special events, transitioning from his role as the executive producer of Inside Politics with Dana Bash and Inside Politics Sunday with Abby Phillip.
Finally, Rachel Streitfeld has taken on the position of executive producer for the network’s Sunday politics programs, including State of the Union with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash and Inside Politics Sunday with Manu Raju.
