MyPillow ads have dominated the Fox News airwaves for years. But that’s about to change. The network has canceled the company’s commercials for not paying its advertising bill.

CEO Mike Lindell shared in a video on X that the network “canceled” MyPillow commercials without reason. He suggested two possible reasons for the decision. The first suggesting his face wasn’t wanted on television leading up to the 2024 election. Choice number two was due to Lindell hiring Lou Dobbs, a former Fox Business host. Dobbs appears on Lindell’s online TV show.

“I believe this is all about stopping me from talking about the election platforms and the elections, and this — just getting rid of my voice,” Lindell said.

According to the Washington Post, Lindell hasn’t paid his advertising bill since August. The MyPillow CEO has been at the center of controversy stemming from prior claims of the 2020 election being stolen. That led to a legal battle with Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, and millions of dollars in legal fees, which Lindell has also not paid yet.

Fox spokesperson Irena Briganti shot down the suggestion of the network looking to silence Lindell or punish him for hiring Dobbs. In a statement to the Associated Press, Briganti said “As soon as their account is paid, we would be happy to accept their advertising.”

Lindell was spending an average of one million dollars per week on Fox News according to the AP. MyPillow’s CEO told the Post that he paid four million dollars for ads in December. A source though informed the Post the payment was for commercials that aired in June and July.
