CNN announced on Monday that it will have John Fritze join the network as a reporter covering the Supreme Court.
Fritze joins CNN after a three-year tenure at USA TODAY, during which he reported on Supreme Court matters. His coverage included significant events like the confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and the reversal of Roe v. Wade.
He also covered the White House for three years, breaking stories on former President Donald Trump’s response to the pandemic and the administration’s approach to the nation’s opioid crisis.
Before joining USA TODAY, Fritze served as a Washington correspondent for The Baltimore Sun, covering all three branches of government.
His previous experience includes covering city hall for The Sun and The Indianapolis Star and starting his journalism career on the features desk at the Albany Times Union in New York.
Fritze’s role with CNN will see him work from Washington, D.C.
