Longtime news/talk radio leader Dave LaBrozzi has announced he will retire from KDKA in Pittsburgh later this year.
In a message to Facebook, LaBrozzi revealed he’ll step away from the Audacy-owned station in April.
“My radio life is coming to an end,” LaBrozzi wrote. “The best part of my job was working with some of the best talent in the country. I tried to never get in their way and I listened in awe to what they created daily. They were the reason for my success and I am thankful for the privilege of tagging along.
“The time has come for me to walk away, and I do so with the deepest appreciation. If I worked with you, I hope you can say that I gave you my best and that I helped you succeed,” LaBrozzi continued. “I know my life was richer because of you and I will cherish the memories we created together. Thank you!”
LaBrozzi has served as the Brand Manager of KDKA since November 2021. Previously, he was the Program Director of 77 WABC in New York, and also spent 14 years with Infinity/CBS Radio in Baltimore as the Vice President of Programming.
