Cenk Uygur: Progressives Aren’t Welcome on TV to Talk About Joe Biden’s Gaffes

During a press conference on Thursday, President Biden strongly refuted a special counsel report critiquing his memory and recall abilities after inadvertently mixing up the leaders of Mexico and Egypt.

Nonetheless, the mixup went viral and added to the gaffs that the president has had during his four-year tenure in the White House. As a result, discussions over Biden’s age and running for re-election have been a talking point.

The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur praised CNN contributor Paul Begala for calling out these gaffs and noting that actual progressives aren’t allowed on television anymore.

“Progressives aren’t allowed on television, so I’m glad [Paul Begala] said it for us this morning on [CNN], when he said about Biden’s press conference and his non-stop gaffes, “This is terrible for Democrats, and anybody with a functioning brain knows that,'” Uygur wrote on X.

However, Biden isn’t the only one prone to gaffes. His expected opponent, former President Donald Trump, who is 77 years old, has also come under scrutiny in recent weeks for his own slip-ups. During one October rally, Trump seemed to mix up the leaders of Hungary and Turkey.
