Chris Cuomo hosted Tucker Carlson for a sit-down conversation between the two former cable news rivals on NewsNation this week. That programming led to a ratings victory for the former CNN anchor.
According to Nielsen, 264,000 viewers watched the first part of the discussion between Carlson and Cuomo. The episode averaged just under 400,000 viewers, which represents a rise of 90% in total viewers. 26,000 viewers from the coveted 25-54 demographic viewed the episode, which is a rise of 33%.
Additionally, the conversation was featured on NewsNation’s social media platforms, including YouTube, which earned hundreds of thousands of more views.
Tucker Carlson and Chris Cuomo sat down in Florida after each admitted that had been unkind to the other during their previous cable news stops. In a video posted to the Tucker Carlson Network, the former Fox News host admitted he didn’t know why he was so mean to Cuomo, and shared that the former CNN host was one of the first people to call him after his Fox News exit last April.
