Fox News host Jesse Watters is currently promoting his new book, amid his already busy schedule with The Five and Jesse Watters Primetime. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have time to joke about his colleagues, though.
While appearing on 93 WIBC’s Hammer and Nigel, Watters was asked by Jason Hammer about his recent success, which led him to joke about The Five’s resident liberal, cohort Jessica Tarlov.
“The Five’s number one, Primetime’s number two and I’m just trying to keep Jessica Tarlov in check,” Watters said.
“Jesse, you guys do such a good job on The Five that you actually make me feel sorry for Jessica Tarlov, because she’s so sweet,” Nigel Laskowski responded. “I disagree with her politics, but you and (Greg) Gutfeld? Oh my!”
Watters then shared an anecdote about the reactions he receives from viewers during his book tour.
“I just did a book signing for Get It Together. We did about 700 books on Saturday and another 700 on Sunday. People come up to me and they say two things. First person says ‘Jesse, you have to be nicer to Jessica Tarlov. You’re too mean,’ and then the other people say ‘Jesse, you have to get Jessica Tarlov fired,'” he said, which caused a chuckle from the 93 WIBC hosts. “They think I’m too mean or I’m not mean enough.”
The comments from Watters came on the same day he and Tarlov raised eyebrows during an exchange on the afternoon program. Watters told Tarlov she “didn’t know anything about real estate” because she rents an apartment, which led her to say “Did you actually just say that to me?”
She followed up her question by calling Jesse Watters “incredibly rude” for his statement.
