Gray Television has announced that Tupelo Media Group and KVVU Las Vegas are working in tandem with SportsGrid’s free ad-supported television (FAST) channel to produce five sports betting specials around major sporting events in 2024. These presentations will be included within Beat The Odds, a nationally-syndicated sports betting series produced by Tupelo Media Group and KVVU.
The SuperBook at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino is going to be the title sponsor for the specials, the first of which will pertain to college basketball and air on various Gray Television-affiliated stations.
The SportsGrid FAST channel is accessible to sports fans around the country and includes live programming covering several professional sports leagues with betting implementations. These television specials will be supplemented by insider analysis and commentary to enhance the overall coverage, which will include host Dave Hall, reporter Mariah Janos and analysts Jack Ross and Ted Sevransky. Special coverage of Beat The Odds will include gambling analysis centered on the major sporting events, along with breaking news and other information.
“With SportsGrid, we will partner with the best-in-class original programming, information, data, insight, and analysis, including their strong roster of experts and contributors in the sports betting space,” Michael Korr, co-creator of Beat The Odds and general manager of Gray Television-owned KVVU-Fox 5 in Las Vegas, said in a statement.
Amazon Prime Video added SportsGrid programming last year, and the network remains available on YouTube TV, Roku and FuboTV. The weekday programming schedule contains several original offerings featuring personalities such as Scott Ferrall, James Young and Joe Lisi. The sports betting brand also has a robust digital platform with news and highlights across several sports leagues in addition to odds and picks.
“Working with Tupelo Honey and Gray producing this type of premium content focused on major sports events furthers our relentless effort to serve the sports betting audience and fuels the continued growth of the SportsGrid brand with the right partners,” Louis Malone, president and founder of SportsGrid, Inc., said in a statement.
